How to Make Jerk Chicken
- In a large bowl, combine garlic, jerk seasoning, Scotch bonnet peppers, lime juice, brown sugar, green onions, and soy sauce.
- Place the chicken breasts in a resealable bag or a bowl. Pour the marinade over the chicken and ensure every piece is well coated.
- Seal the bag or cover the bowl, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours or even overnight.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (375°F).
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and shake off any excess liquid. Grill for about 6-8 minutes per side.
- After grilling, let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with rice and peas or a fresh salad.
