How to Make Gingerbread Cookies
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and gather all your ingredients on the counter.
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar in a large bowl for about 3-5 minutes until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then pour in the dark molasses and vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, and salt in another bowl before gradually incorporating this mixture into the wet ingredients.
- Chill the dough by covering it with plastic wrap and placing it in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
- Form tablespoon-sized balls of dough, place them on lined baking sheets, and bake for 8-10 minutes.
