How to Make Chicken and Mac and Cheese
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- Sauté chopped chicken in a skillet over medium heat with melted butter until browned, about 6–8 minutes.
- Make the sauce by melting butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and stir for about two minutes until smooth then gradually whisk in milk. Cook until thickened—about 5 minutes.
- Add sharp cheddar cheese and garlic powder to the sauce, stirring until melted. Combine this rich, cheesy goodness with the cooked macaroni and tender chicken.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish. Top it with panko bread crumbs combined with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.

Notes
Optional: Garnish with fresh herbs like parsley for a pop of color and flavor. Perfect pasta is crucial—cook macaroni to al dente and season chicken and sauce to taste.
