  • 1/4 tsp freshly cracked black pepper adds a subtle kick that complements the butter
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley optional, adds a pop of color and fresh flavor

Equipment

Method

Cooking Process
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil.
  2. Add your spaghetti or egg noodles to the boiling water and cook according to the package instructions until al dente—about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Once the pasta is cooked, drain it in a colander but be sure to save about 1/2 cup of the starchy cooking water.
  4. In the same pot, melt the unsalted butter over low heat and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Return the drained pasta to the pot and toss the noodles in the buttery sauce.
  6. If your dish seems a bit dry, gradually add reserved pasta water to reach your desired creaminess.
  7. Finish by garnishing your Buttered Noodles with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot.
